Program Overview:

The Wayfinding Project is a 20-week cultural identity and leadership programme that helps young people discover their true selves, build confidence, and strengthen their sense of belonging through storytelling, creativity, and Pasifika values.

How costs are calculated: Per-student cost = Total program fee ÷ participating students (then ÷ 20 for weekly)

Note: Per-student cost decreases as more students participate.

  • Build sustainable partnerships between schools and community organisations.
  • Contribute to school wellbeing frameworks and Department of Education inclusion goals.

By the end of the program, students will show:

Students take part in:

  • ✔ Creative storytelling and art projects

  • ✔ Journalism, reflection and showcase events

The program is delivered at school during school hours (with school approval).

  • Schools can choose a 3–4 week taster or a full 20-week program.

The program is led by trained facilitators, guided by founder Lino Salafai, an experienced educator and cultural leader who has worked with schools and communities across NSW.

  • We collect feedback and growth through:
  • Student reflections and journals
  • Teacher feedback
  • Wellbeing and confidence surveys (before and after)
  • Participation data
  • Celebration and showcase presentations

No. Participation is usually covered by the school or supported by grants and sponsors. If a school requests a contribution, they will contact families directly.

Students’ work or photos will only be shared publicly if the school and parents guardians give permission. Privacy and cultural respect are always a priority.

Yes! Some schools hold cultural sharing days, student showcases or family evenings where parents and communities can take part.
